We got a very good deal for the Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort through GTA Hotels for our holiday & reunion. The members of staff were faultless and very friendly at all times. The Spa was superb and the hotel in general, though in need of some updating in areas was generally clean and in satisfactory condition. The spa & gym definitely bring it up to it’s 4* status, otherwise I would say it was more a 3 or 3.5. All in all, a fantastic holiday and I can’t wait to return! Thank you GTA Hotels!

What is customer care? handling complaints? Trying to pick up the pieces after a mishap? helping a client who is unable to travel?

Yes, customer care is all this and more. Infact every company should welcome complaints to their customer care department in order to prevent complaints and monitor their services and make improvements along the way.

Effective complaint handling

We at Gtahotels.com welcome complaints in order to prevent them. We aim to resolve and preventing similar complaints.

We make our complaints form easy accessible to our clients and it is easy for them to fill in. We aim to resolve every complaint issue within 20 working days though please bear in mind that often we have to go through a third party and wait for their response.

If you have a complaint that can be dealt with at the hotel, don’t be shy just ask for assistance from the reception. Generally hotels will go out of their way to resolve any complaints or problems for their guests on the spot. If the air conditioning at the hotel isn’t working for example- Don’t wait till you get home before you decide to file a complaint….Report the problem to the hotel because its more than likely that they are not aware of the problem and will be more than happy to fix it.

Customer Feedback

Customer feedback is always welcomed and this helps us at Gtahotels to make changes and improvements. We always appreciate customers who let us have their feedback – We really do listen!

Hate Exercise – Why Ever consider a Hiking Tour in Thailand???

My partner and I had been in Thailand for about 9 months when he suggested going up to the North of the country to Chaing Mai to join a hiking tour. We flew to Thailand in the January and we were supposed to be touring the country, however this didn’t exactly happen after discovering the beaches of Koh Samui and Ko Phangan the most exercise we had done in 8 months has been trying to get in and out of the hammock each day!!!

However I reluctantly agreed to do this as it was now entering rainy season down in the south so there wasn’t much sun bathing to be done so we packed up the stuff from our little beach hut and headed back to Bangkok to book a tour. We arrived in Bangkok and decided to rest a few days before heading to Chaing Mai we managed to book a tour with a lot of battering for around $20 per person for 2 nights 3 days including all our meals what was I letting myself in for !!!

We caught the overnight bus to Chaing Mai arriving pretty exhausted but ready to meet the group which consisted mainly of Italians we had a quick briefing and off we headed… The trail winds through the dense jungle which the rain had made very slippery and the amount of bugs was insane I was covered in bites within minutes. The trail rises up and down, up and down and is completely exhausting. After about 8 hours of trekking we finally stopped and set up camp… After a hard day’s trek it was great to unwind and the meal of Som Tam, Tom Yam and various other delights the aches and pains of the day slowly drifted away.

The next 2 days followed in a blur not just from the exhaustion but from the breath taking scenery and then the 15 hour trek and then being told we were doing 10 miles of bamboo rafting which was a perfect way to glide down the river feeling like your floating on air..

The tour finished up and we headed back to the hostel not without having a Thai massage to help rejuvenate us and purchasing some plasters to seal up the many blisters that had evolved over my feet…

So the question is would I do it again… Indeed I would despite the pain the whole tour was fantastic the guides were brilliant and it was a great way to see a different side of Thailand the only thing is I would have done it at the start of my travels not after lazing around for so long…

Being female and being a massive football fan is something most men can’t get their heads around.. Lucky for me my partner and I both support the same football team which happens to be Arsenal

When my partner gave me my Valentines present a week early I was completely shocked I was expecting just the usual box of chocolates and bunch of flowers but what I got was a Football Holiday ok it was in the UK but it was 5 nights and 3 days of Football what more could a girl ask for… That was not all he had managed to arrange it so that we got to watch two Arsenal matches!!

We arrived in London and were picked up from the station which was great we were then transferred to our hotel and checked in. Even though we lived in Swansea and had traveled many times to watch the games we had never seen any of the famous landmarks so we booked a tour and went and did the sights of London which was great..

The next day I was so excited as it was match day and Arsenal were playing Man United which is always a game you either end up loving or hating. We were picked up and transferred to the stadium however we decided to get dropped of a bit earlier so that we could walk to the stadium soaking in the atmosphere of the crowds.. Unlucky for us we lost 4 – 2 it was not a good day. I sulked for the remainder of the day…

We has the next day to relax which meant hitting the shops in Oxford Street trying to forget yesterdays activities we still had the game on the Saturday one we could certainly win..

The next morning we were picked up bright and early and headed up to Goodison Park home of Everton we did a tour of the Stadium and then watched the match against Norwich which was no way near as exciting as the Man U game but it was football so I was happy.

We headed back down to London after spending the day in Liverpool which was a great place but I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get back to London. We had a few days to do what we wanted before the game on the Saturday so we decided to do the London Eye which was scary but the views of London are awesome and you can see the arch of the new Wembley Stadium.

Well Saturday was upon us and we headed to the Stadium this time Arsenal beat Aston Villa 3 -1 which was a great result and the atmosphere in the stadium was electric and I was on cloud nine.

After the game we were supposed to be picked up and taken back to the hotel however we rang our rep and told him we would make our own way back and decided to go for a few drinks with fellow Arsenal fans and thanked him for organizing such a great tour.
The next day we checked out of the hotel and headed back to Swansea. This tour may not be for everyone but I had the best few days ever watching football, going to the stadiums and even getting time for shopping.

Istanbul is a colorful world with many beautiful attractions. My best friend Lisa persuaded me to visit this mysterious city of Turkey. I had never visited Turkey before, so this was all a new experience for me. I must admit that I was a little doubtful about Istanbul, but once we visited it, we never regretted. We first booked an Istanbul hotel. We were careful to choose a centrally located one as we didn’t know the city at all. Best Western Obelisk Hotel Istanbul was just the right hotel we were looking for.

We started sightseeing from the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and the Grand Bazaar as these were the nearest attractions to our hotel. The ceramics inside the Blue Mosque which was also called Sultanahmet Mosque were really impressive. At the very moment we stepped in to the mosque, we were as if stepped into a different world, different planet. We could also observe the sacred ceremony of people all kneeling down and standing up at the same time. The mosque was fantastic with just one word.

It was very exciting to walk through Istiklal Avenue. It was a pedestrian street full of bookstores, art galleries, night clubs, boutiques and restaurants. I think the music never stops on Istiklal Avenue. We liked the lively atmosphere of the street very much.

Then we took a stroll along the shore. The view was simply breathtaking. We saw the Maiden’s Tower in the middle of the sea. Bosphorus had such a beauty that we didn’t want to return to our hotel that night.

We couldn’t have left Istanbul before experiencing a Turkish bath. It was an amazing feeling. We really felt that we got clean! After that hot experience, you feel relaxed and away from stress.

These were just a few of what Istanbul offered. There are still many to be explored. Istanbul is a dream city that everyone must visit one day.

Brussels was like a secret Heaven for me and my husband. We were going to attend a conference held in Brussels. Catalonia Forum Art Hotel Brussels was the comfortable place we stayed in during our visit. As the hotel was ideally located, it was a great base for exploring the city. Brussels had a lot to offer us. We observed some architecturally impressive buildings as well as great museums, parks and gardens.

The first attraction we were attracted to was the Atomium which was a magnificent monument. From a height of 102 meters, we could take amazing photos of Brussels. Grand Place was the next spot we visited. The flower carpet composed of beautiful begonias was enough to dazzle us. It is a must to smell the beautiful odor of begonias when in Brussels. The stunning view of the Town Hall at the square makes the area seem even more beautiful. We also took many photos of the guild houses located at the square.

Once in Brussels, we couldn’t have left the city without visiting Manneken Pis which is the symbol of Brussels. We couldn’t believe how tiny a statue it was! Well, we were used to seeing gigantic monuments and statues as the symbols of the cities we visited. Thus, we found Manneken Pis quite strange a symbol. It was the statue of just a little boy of about 60 cm tall. Anyway, it was still interesting to see it.

After visiting so many buildings, we wanted to see some greenery. Upon the advice of a friend, we headed to the beautiful garden called Place du Petit Sablon. The park was really beautiful and peaceful.

The conference we were going to attend was the next day and we had to leave Brussels afterwards, but we will certainly visit it again whenever it is possible

My first hours in London My first visit to London has been a memorable one from the first moment until the end. As a person who is studying English Language and Literature, visiting the country and the very city about which i’ve read hundreds of articles was very exciting!

After a long flight when i finally set my food on the ground i knew that it was gonna be one of the best times in my life. However i never thought that my first hours in this huge city would be marked by an adventureous beginning. Well, after i passed the passport control the first thing i did was to call my friend who was supposed to meet me at the Luton airport. He answered the phone but told me that for some reasons, which he would be explaining later, he couldn’t make it so therefore i should take the shuttle bus from the airport to our new meeting point “Baker Street”. It was a great surprise for me and unfortunately not a pleasant one. I had no chance, anyways, so i did what he said to me. I got on a “Green Line Bus” from the airport. The journey from there to central London, which costed £12.00 by the way, took about one and a half hours but as i was so busy with repeating the name “Baker Street” in my mind over and over again the ride seemed much shorter than it actually was :-) Well, my brain was trying to get used to the traffic which kept running on the “wrong” direction when i heard the driver women shouting “Baker Street”. There were lots of people on the bus but it seemed that no one was willing to get off on that stop. The driver shouted for the second time… and i did not know what to do so just said “Yes!” in a very unconfident tone. I finally got off the bus at the bus stop in front of Baker Street Tube Station trying to see my friend who is supposed to be there but, guess what, there was no one! I called him to ask where he was and he replied that he was waiting right in front of the tube station. I was sure that i was standing in front of the station and he said that he was also there… One of us was definitely lying to the other and it was so hard to decide who that was :-) I tried to tell him the things i see around and after that, thank God!, my friend figured out that we were waiting at the different enterences of the station. It was so nice when my friend finally showed up which meant no worries for me from then on as i was with a Londoner who knew the city very well. This was how i spent my first hours in London… and his excuse for not meeting me at the airport… Well, yeah, it sounded a plausable one for the time being.
